Pain in your knee can be caused by muscle weakness or imbalances in your hips.

Try any one of these 5 exercises to strengthen your side hip (gluteus minimus and maximus) muscles. You may just get some knee pain relief! They are easy to do.

Your side hip muscles help control where your leg is in space - and they are weak on many people! If your knees collapse inward when you squat, that can add pressure and cause pain in your knees. You likely need to strengthen the side hip muscles.

Try these exercises, find the one that works the best for you. Then add it in to your regular exercise routine. For a couple of the exercises, I use bands around my legs.
